Do I Dare?

Bulbs are beginning to blossom, the sun is appearing more frequently, and winter's chill is finally thawing. All of these wonderful delights lead me to ask, "Do I dare wear my coveted American Apparel white pants before Easter?"

One of my favorite lifestyle gurus, Judith Martin, seems to think that it's the fabric, not the color, that counts. For example, linen or eyelet should not be worn before Easter Sunday or after Labor Day. However, I can't help but absorb the stares that I receive when wearing white before or after those fashion flags, even if it is 82 degrees in March.

So, what do you think, do I dare tease the fashion sages and forego their laws? Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comment section!

A Wiseman Once Said . . . It's best to take the advice of friends before jumping into some risky fashion.
